UnrealFantasy publishes AI-generated fantasy characters and lets its Patreon members decide what gets made next. All characters are fictional; no real persons are depicted.

Who we are

This site is operated by UnrealFantasy from Spain (European Union), which is the data controller for the information described below. Contact: contact@unreal-fantasy.com.

What we process

When you log in with Patreon, we receive — via Patreon's OAuth — your Patreon user ID, display name and membership/tier status for our campaign. We use this solely to verify your access level and store it in our database.

Voting (stars, wardrobe looks and other decisions) requires an active VIP membership on Patreon; your votes are stored with your account. Star votes work as a stock: every VIP member starts with 3 votes and receives 1 more each week, and may spend at most 1 per star per week; the week's vote can be undone until the round closes. Votes stay active until that star wins a round — they are then archived as history; she sits out the following round and you can vote for her again after that. Votes are used only to decide what we make next and are never shared with third parties.

When you follow a link from this site to Patreon, we count that click per day and per button, in aggregate, without any identifier.

We do not receive your email address, payment details or real name from Patreon, and we do not store your IP address.

Why we process it (legal basis)

We process this data to provide the service you signed up for — logging you in, granting access according to your membership and letting you vote (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — and to keep the site secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to contact@unreal-fantasy.com; your account and the votes linked to it will then be deleted. Aggregate results of past rounds may remain, without any link to you.

Cookies

We use only strictly-necessary cookies: uf_session (keeps you logged in), uf_oauth_state (security during Patreon login) and uf_return (remembers, for a few minutes, the page to return to after logging in). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If we measure traffic, we do it with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and does not identify you.

Service providers

Cloudflare (hosting, database, image storage and security — it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site) and Patreon (authentication and payments). These providers may process data in the United States under appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise them, write to contact@unreal-fantasy.com. You can also stop using the site at any time by logging out and cancelling your Patreon membership.

If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or with the data protection authority of your country.

Minors

This service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly process personal data of minors. Access requires a Patreon account, which is subject to Patreon's own age requirements.
